Returned to Barnet, Enfield and Haringey Mental Health NHS Trust as a clinical pharmacist
When the country went into lockdown due to the pandemic, Justin heard stories on the news about the increasing numbers of deaths, including NHS staff who were helping to battle this virus, and about how the NHS was struggling to cope with overwhelming numbers of cases.
He used to work in the NHS before leaving to be a management consultant at a company working in the pharmaceutical industry, but felt compelled to help out in any way that he could. He approached the ‘Return to Practice Programme’ and was offered a role to help out at the Barnet, Enfield and Haringey Mental Health NHS Trust as a clinical pharmacist.
“I’d forgotten how resilient those working in the NHS are, still so friendly and helpful even in these difficult times. I’m grateful for the opportunity and I hope I’ve managed to make a difference in at least some way or another!”
